Arunay Foundation Walkathon/5K/10K
Join us at the Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area for a walkathon organized by the Arunay Foundation, focusing on beach safety. Participate solo or with a team and get a custom race tee. Our courses, 5K & 10K, traverse the scenic Quarry Lakes Park. The Foundation's mission is to address beach hazards and ensure safety. All proceeds aid in beach safety initiatives.

Life Ring Installation & Ribbon cutting ceremony
On Oct 15, 2021, the San Mateo County Harbor Commission voted unanimously to cover the construction and permitting costs for four life-saving stations and ring buoys : two in Pillar Point Harbor, one near Surfer’s Beach and one at the breakwater near Mavericks!
The current approved installation locations are marked in the map.
Ribbon cutting ceremony and installation for these life saving stations is scheduled for Nov 10,2021 at 10:30am.
Walk for Arunay
In loving memory of Arunay, his former school Basis Independent , organized a walkathon. This event was a way for the community to to celebrate this special young boy , as well as to shine a light on our cause of beach safety awareness
The walkathon route, dotted with students’ artwork celebrating Arunay, cheered the over 250 walkers who participated with passion and enthusiasm. Together these students walked over a 1000 miles in the hope to raise awareness and funds for beach safety! Teachers and students alike shared their stories and fond recollections about Arunay. Many tears were shed. From the little boy who had emptied his piggy bank into a ziplock bag and brought it for donation, to 8-year-old Siddhant, who walked 31 laps and covered 10 miles, one cause bound them all...beach safety awareness!

A bench for Arunay
On May 13, 2021 Arunay would have turned 13 and officially become a teenager. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate his birthday than by unveiling a beautiful picnic table at the cliffs overlooking Cowell Ranch beach.
Nothing will bring us more joy than to see you and your families gather around this table, We would love for you to come here, share a meal, share a smile, share some cherished memories with your loved ones.
